As musicians who come from different cultures and musical backgrounds, the founding members of the Clio Artist Project share a vision for bridging the traditions of classical music with the ever-expanding catalogue of contemporary works. We first collaborated while graduate students at the Yale School of Music and discovered our appreciation for the ancient combination of guitar, flute, and voice. These instruments each have their own rich history, and share a collective history of collaboration, as well as a great potential for future collaborations and commissions. On a personal level, the trio shares a common vision of bringing communities together and promoting in-depth conversations around arts and culture.
